Cherish Every Moment

People say it all the time, maybe it’s because it gets said so often that many overlook it. The fact is, time marches on quickly and there isn’t anything anyone can do to stop it or rewind it. That’s why it’s so important to cherish every moment. Today when I look back, I wish I’d taken more Wendy Alves family photos and done a better job of chronicling the lives we have built together. My husband Greg Alves and I are doing a much better job these days of taking time to savor the best part of life with our family… but photos like this one are what life is all about and so many of us have far too few of them.

Hopefully with the invention of smartphones, future generations will be better equipped to capture every moment that really matters. I don’t mean in a Facebook kind of “here is what I had for lunch at a restaurant” sort of way. I mean the deeper more important moments that connect us all together and give us a shared sense of our place in the world.
